Second bath to intensify color or to increase shadow depth after lith developing.
Lith Omega is used as a color- and shadow-intensifier after lith developing with warmtone paper. With relatively short developing times in strong lith developer, you can create intense yellow or redish tones that would normally only be possible with strong over-exposure, high developer dilution, and long developing times.
The Omega Lith works especially intensively in combination with warmtone papers with silver-chloride emulsions (Forte Polywarmtone of Fomatone), which show a noticeable color already after the developing. With silver-bromide emulsions or mixed emulsions with a high silver-bromide percentage the color will not change much; only the shadow density will be increased.
